Hi, I’m Isaiah.
Welcome, and thank you for stopping by.
I grew up in North Carolina in a Southern Baptist family, where I was introduced to the truth of God’s Word from an early age. When my family moved to Arizona, we became part of a non-denominational church, where my faith continued to grow and deepen. I have a beautiful wife that I do my best to love each day, who also makes me a better man every day; as well as an amazing daughter who challenges me in my ways of instructing and growing patience and understanding and one more on the way! While my church background, life, and the roles I have played has changed and evolved over the years, my foundation has remained the same: Jesus Christ is Lord, and the Bible is God’s living and unchanging Word.
I started this devotional blog because I have a desire to encourage others to spend time with God every day. Life can be busy, overwhelming, and full of distractions, but I’ve found that even a few moments in Scripture can bring peace, wisdom, and renewed hope. My prayer is that these devotionals help you slow down, draw near to God, and grow in your relationship with Him.
I don’t claim to have all the answers, and I’m still learning every day. Like every follower of Christ, I’m on a journey of growing in faith, trusting God’s plan, and allowing Him to shape me into the person He has called me to be. Everything I share here comes from a desire to point people to Jesus—not to myself and inspire you to learning more about our Heavenly Father.
Whether you’re exploring Christianity, new to reading the Bible, or have been walking with Christ for many years, I hope you’ll find encouragement here. My goal is to create a place where God’s Word is honored, Christ is glorified, and hearts are strengthened through biblical truth and bring community to those who can’t find it face to face.
Thank you for being here. It’s a blessing to have you visit this little corner of the internet. My prayer is that every devotional you read draws you closer to Jesus and reminds you of His incredible love, grace, and faithfulness.
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” — Psalm 119:105
If you’re new to following Jesus, welcome! Beginning to read the Bible can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to read it from beginning to end to know God better.
I recommend starting with one of the Gospels—Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John. These books tell the story of Jesus’ life, His teachings, His death on the cross, and His resurrection. If you’re not sure which Gospel to begin with, I suggest John because it beautifully introduces who Jesus is and why He came.
After you’ve read a Gospel, continue with Romans. This letter explains the good news of salvation, God’s grace, what it means to be justified by faith, and how Christians are called to live.
Next, spend time in Psalms. The Psalms teach us how to worship, pray, trust God in difficult seasons, and praise Him in every circumstance. You’ll find comfort, encouragement, and words for both joyful and challenging moments.
From there, continue reading the rest of the Bible. As you do, you’ll see how every book points to God’s plan of redemption through Jesus Christ. Don’t feel like you have to rush. Read prayerfully, ask God for wisdom, and let His Word shape your heart day by day.
Remember, the goal isn’t simply to finish the Bible—it’s to know the Author. As you read, ask yourself:
God promises that His Word is living and active (Hebrews 4:12), and He will use it to help you grow in your faith as you continue to seek Him.
